Welcome to the historic DeLand Artisan Inn.

     Historically, in 1924, E. D. Barnhill built a hotel for ''snowbirds'' at the present location of DeLand Artisan Inn. He was assisted by the Howarth family, who owned the hotel soon after completion of the building.

     Through the years, the clientele and condition of the place deteriorated, until it finally ended up closing in the 1980's.

     In 1996, brothers John and Brett Soety from Pennsylvania bought the building and completely renovated it to it's present attractive state, inside and out. The DeLand Artisan Inn is a wonderfully diversified restaurant, hotel and lounge complete with Banquet Facilities for small or large groups. Newly redecorated to splendid perfection, the Spanish architecture is inviting.

     Inside is an up-scale restaurant that features fine cuisine at affordable prices, all created by our excellent culinary staff headed by Chef Joshua DenBoer.

     For your culinary delight, the restaurant offers lunch and dinner with daily chef specials. Reading the menu will tickle your taste buds. With so many choices, each connoisseur receives a wonderful meal.

     The restaurant and lounge offer a full wine and champagne list, plus the best martinis in town. Happy Hour is from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday in the lounge.

     The Artisan is also the perfect place for an intimate wedding! The ballroom can be decorated to the couple's specifications, along with full customized catering to fit all needs and budgets. The ballroom is 2,400 square feet of banquet space, plus a private meeting room (featuring an art gallery maintained by the National Museum of Women in Art) to the delight of folks needing lots of room for any occasion. The ballroom has romantic terrace seating overlooking beautiful historic Downtown DeLand.

     Luxuriously appointed suites available for weddings, special occasions, or visitors wanting to be pampered. The executive suites feature Jacuzzi tubs.
